Justin Camputaro, PhD is the Executive Director of the Husky Union Building at The University of Washington in “Sunny Seattle”. In this interview we confirm that it's not always sunny in Seattle, but Justin explains how to create a sunny work environment by exemplifying genuine “people-centric” practices in your leadership. Justin was born into the entertainment industry. Specifically, he’s a child of the Rodeo. In this interview, he shares how the lessons learned from his parents, and their respective rodeo careers, inspired a lifetime of creating positive experiences for his teams and for his community. He also explains how, during the work on his doctoral dissertation, he solidified his position on the positive benefits of creating “second experiences” and that we all need a “third place”. If that seems hard to lasso then gallop in to this episode! Justin is a highly sought after higher education consultant who has taken the bull by the horns and can help your campus become “a place people really want to work”.
